Christmas heat wave breaks U.S. records and confuses everyone

The Christmas heat wave sweeping the United States is breaking records left and right On Christmas Eve alone, dozens of records were broken due to the heat. Burlington, Vermont, for example, recorded its highest temperature for any December on record Thursday with a high of 68 degrees Fahrenheit, one degree more than the records set in 1998 and 1941.
